REALITY OF SHEYTAAN (In the light of Quran)-II

In previous piece we read about the weapons sheytaan use to lead us astray. In this post we will see how does he use this weapon and its remedy.

In Surah Nas, chapter 114 of Quran Allaah says:

"Say, 'I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, The Sovereign of mankind. The God of mankind, From the evil of the retreating whisperer - Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind - From among the jinn and mankind." (Surah An-Nas)

EXPLANATION: In this surah, refuge and help of Allaah is asked by using His three qualities to revoke Him. He is the Cherisher, He is our Master and True God. King of the kings , have Power over each and everything. He is Almighty and Only One who can save us from from all the evil we know or we don't know of. He can give us refuge against all kinds of enemies.

In these ayaah, doubt is related to sheytaan. The kind of doubt that is not stopped in one attempt, he doesn't get hopeless on his failures instead he keeps on striking. This is his main weapon as mentioned in above ayaah.

REMEDY: Doubt is the main point from where evil nurtures. His continuous strikes transforms doubt in an illegal desire/tendency for sin, this desire leads to determination which becomes resolution and if not stopped then it ends in the climax of action. To nip this evil in the bud, Allaah advised us to ask for refuge beforehand against these doubts, against a dangerous enemy-sheytaan.

La haula wala quwwata illah billahil alaehil azeem.
